Entities have the ability to traverse walls, ceilings, and surfaces of any orientation. Kythera analyses geometry and plots optimal routes, moving entities seamlessly while dynamically adjusting their speed and rotation during surface transitions.
AI Planning
Kythera AI features an AI Planning system which offers enhanced expressiveness when compared to traditional Goal-Oriented Action Planners (GOAP). This allows NPCs to consider their actions and surroundings.
Hierarchical Pathfinding
Enable pathfinding across vast, partially loaded environments through a hierarchical structure that is automatically built as part of the NavMesh generation workflow.
Cover Analysis
Analyze the environment to detect and classify potential cover locations for dynamic, cover-based combat. Use Kythera’s built-in cover types or define custom classifiers to support your game’s specific cover mechanics. Cover points can be queried using attributes such as exposure, orientation, and other configurable properties.
Access cover data through native code or seamlessly integrate with Unreal Engine’s fully supported Environment Query System (EQS).
Automated Markup
Accelerate level design by automatically capturing surface properties during NavMesh generation, eliminating the need to manually place navigation cost modifiers.
